HEALED

Good morning my friends!
This is a VERY VERY good morning!
I saw "my" doctor yesterday. (dont you worry, his very cute wife assisted him...)!
He gave me the okay to go to the USA next week.
He also told me to get rid of my crutches and finally walk without them (....mmmmhhh something to think about for other areas as well :-))!
Everything is fine! Things I can not do: sunbath my right leg .. but thats okay!
I have to wear an orthopedic stocking (full leg) for the next 6 month! Not pretty - but health!
Thank you all for your support and your prayers! It helped me tremendeously going thru this time, knowing you all were there to support me and love on my.
I am forever grateful for all of you and to all of you!
Much love, may god bless you and see you soon!

Hello again!
I am (finally) out of hospital and am being spoiled by my mum!
Unfortunately I am very rarely online these days, b/c my laptop doesnt work anymore ... and dont know if he ever will again :-(!
I wont tell you the entire story. Some of you know it and it is nothing I am very proud off.
For those of you that dont know the story. Just let me tell you two things (you might guess the rest).
Bedpans (especially their content) doesnt go very well together with Laptops. Especially not mine!!!
I am working on a speedy recovery (for myself and my laptop now)

WALKING out of hospital on Monday

Hello my dear Family and friends all over the world!

This is going to be the last update you will receive from me while being in hospital :-)!

First things first: Dr. Friendly turned into McDreamy and I wouldnt be myself, if I would not have developed a major crush on him. Well he is adorable and he saved my life and my leg - so that is kind of a given. Aaaaaannnnd he is a loving father to his 13 month old cute daughter and a great husband to his gorgeous wife! = NEXT please!!!! :-).

In all seriousness he treats me like a private patient, comes to see me on sundays and days off (like today), he read through the entire blog (yes he read the initial one as well where we recommended him some personal development classes ..... he commented on that today, while opening my bandage AND than he hurt me ....all your fault Brenda - you wrote the blog!

He is very happy with the healing, no infection, no inflammation, skin sticks onto the forefoot and calf and doesnt peel off (no sign of cellulite on my forefoot either :-)!
He had to get rid of the 55 small metal clips that where tuckered onto my skin/wound (no painkillers of course) ....I was screaming, a bit for real, a bit for the show effect! And because he is an overachiever and he apparently thinks I am brave and can take it - he started cutting off the bandage. I really tried to stop him. Changed his focus. Asked quality questions like: "dont you think we should have a conversation before you do that?"
The normal routine for changing the bandage after skintransplantion (skin was taken off the thigh) is: the patient sits in a warm bath and the layers of bandage are gently peeling itself off (b/c its full with dry blood) or the nurse assists with loads off oil to gently peel the bandage off. The procedure for me: cut it in half and peel it off - by the "gentle" movements of my plastic surgeons hands = NO OIL / NO WATER ..... I kicked, screamed and tried to smack him.
Hint: dont do that while the doctor is still working on you. Got that lesson now!

And that was the first time I was really looking forward to his visit, b/c I thought it wouldnt be painful. Well, that didnt turn out too well, did it?!

Needless to say, that another 4 doctors stuck their head throug my hospital door to see why I was screeming and laughing at the same time. Because McDreamy tried to change my focus apparently, by making me laugh!
By now is Tony Robbins Trainer Material!

My timetable for the next month:
Today in the evening I can finally start sitting on my bed, letting my foot hang out of bed for max 15 minutes (for the blood to start streaming down and the skin getting used to be in that position soon).
Got my crutches waiting for me next to my bedside :-)
- might start walking on SaturdayDoctors visit on Saturday
- WALKING out of hospital on Monday
-delivered to my mum by ambulance
- being spoiled by mum
- start naturopath treatment to get drugs out of my body
- Thursday: see doctor again to change bandages AND going to a champagne party with Sabine (its the opening of my friend Christians champagnestore)
- 28th flying to LA/San DiegoLeaderhip Academy

What do you think? Sounds like a plan to me!!!
Cheerio to all of you!!!
Cant wait to see you, hug you and thank you for all the miracles you have created in my life!
God bless!

"lazy" sunday

Oh boy! Not really a lazy sunday at all. Honestly I was very nervous about the doctors visit today, because - as mention earlier - I could still remember his painfull visit last week.
So, I woke up at 6 am being restless and not quite a happy campger. But luckily the constant stream of visitors started already at 9 am with my mum and her neighbour. She - having been in hospital herself for the past 3 days :-( - was very happy to see me again and cheered me up.
We had a little panic (me) situation right after lunch time, b/c the machine that was attached to my food and sucked out the air and the "ichor" (looked that term up = liquid that comes out of my wound) stopped working. Well I paniced - not really, but in my world I did - and I assume I broke a little bit rapport with my nurses. Because they had not really a clue how to fix it and where to busy to call someone. I do understand, and I DONT! For god sake its MY foot and I was in uncertainty! Long story short, I found out "my" Doctors private number and called him on his cell. On a sunday, while he was having lunch with his family and his little supersweet 13 month old daughter. He was very nice and told me to tell the nurses what to do and that he will show up soon. The nursed did as I told them (remember I am the BOSS :-)) and Dr. Friendly showed up pretty quick.
He opened the bandage - YES I got a heavy dose of painkillers and the pain was not even half of what it was last time.
He was very happy with his work. I liked how my foot looked and I can imagine how it will look soon. He promised me that I can wear highheels soon again :-)!
At this point, I really want to thank this brilliant surgeon for his amazing work and his dedication for his profession (passion). Other doctors would hand the work over to someone else, when they are off duty. But he came into the hospital to check on me in his private sunday time off. And he promised me to come and look after my foot even next week, when he is actually out of town to study for his MBA (yes he must be very smart as well). So, Dr. Kamolz if you read that, just know how deeply I thank you for your brilliant work and your caring!
It still looks like I can leave hospital by the end of the week.
My mum cant wait to have me home and to nurture me.
I will see many of you hopefully in San Diego soon!
God bless!
Love and laughter to you all!

:-) speedy recovery

Hi everyone!
Well by now I have to be very cautious because "my" doctors are reading the blogs now. Even Dr. "Friendly" - who has become a real darling.
Well and on that note, he visited me this afternoon to hang out and chitchat AND to tell me that he will come on sunday afternoon to open my vacuum bandage. Which will - as I remember vividly from last time - be superpainfull! But hey it will make me stronger! Oh lord!
BUT I can go home by the end of next week.
Who would have thought!
Thanks to all of you!
Keep up the good work - especially when my hero dr. friendly comes on sunday to "visit"
love to all of you

PS havent seen any dr. house´s yet

am bored

Okay only two news today (so far- we just started the day :-) )!
They use me here as a guinea pig - dont give me painkillers today, to see how lang I last without them ...... GREAT!!!!

The other one is that I am bored and impatient with my neighbour! That can only mean that I am on major recovery.

God bless you all!

update day 16 in hospital(s)

My cherished friends!
Good news again - almost wonders (again)!
The doctor showed me today the results of the bloodtests from 2 days ago (the one who also checks out the blogs, so cant write anything mean about him here :-) ) - well 2 days is quite a time ! :-) just kidding!
And almost all bloodtest results (values) are NORMAL .. my infection result is only very slightly up - but hey I had surgery!!!!!
Please celebrate those outstanding news with me!
Love you all - massively!

4th and LAST surgery

Hi my friends!
Its 8 pm now in my world and I am finally on massive painkillers again. Well I guess after 15 years of drugfree organic living, it was time to get some drugs into my healthy body.
I am finally off coffee again ..... another good thing!

I had the 4th surgery in 13 days now! And (my intenion) the LAST one. The doctor said he cleaned out the wound (so I hope he ment there is no bacteria in it anymore) and put on some fresh skin from my thigh onto my forefoot and calf. Apparently my first question after the surgery was, if I can see my cellulite now daily on my forefoot. I am embarrassing! (and I like that).
He will open the wound again on friday to see how we are doing. His plan is to get rid of me in 10 DAYS!!! My plan is to get rid of the hospital in a week.
By now I think the surgeon is cute ... could it be the drugs? But honestly, he safed my leg (or and my life) so who wouldnt think he is cute.
My mum brought him two bottles of Schnaps (liquor) yesterday and I so hope he didnt drink it before my surgery!

All joking aside ( I like that I dont have to say that .. remember my j-challenge ....): both wounds hurt now and I am not allowd to move = my ass is sore!!

Thank you again and again and again for your MASSIVE support! Its so amazing how we all stick together when one of us is in need!
I love you guys!
Doris
PS .. you should see what I see everyday, but I dont have a camera on me, to post the pic ... there is a 70ish year old quite heavy white man, who constantly runs to the restroom - wearing nothing but a huge pink undie ........yikess!!!! where is MY compelling future???
